The company secretary of Amnesty International Limited contacts RBA's web services provider requesting that the Amnesty Candle Logo be removed from the website. RBA was also informed that Amnesty International claims exclusive right to the use of the word 'Amnesty' in domain names, and that as a result, was calling on the web-services provider to take down the Roll Back Amnesty domain name. The letter to the web services provider went further, informing them that were these two requests not met within fourteen days, AIL (Amnesty International Limited) would take 'all other legal remedies appropriate'. RBA was informed of this development and is currently seeking legal advice. RBA will publish all correspondence with Amnesty International on this website, in due course.
