How You Can Help

As a member or former member of Amnesty International there is nobody better placed to effect the change we seek. All that is required is to communicate your concern to your fellow members and friends within the organisation, with a view to building a groundswell of support for the rolling back of the abortion-related aspects of Amnesty's new Sexual and Reproductive Rights policy (SRR).

Just as effective and important is the bringing of constitutional motions to the respective AGMs / Annual Conferences of your Amnesty Sections, calling for the repeal of the abortion-related aspects of the SRR policy. Please note that each Section may have its own particular Standing Orders with regard to this, and that these should be established well in advance of proposing a motion to your AGM / Annual Conference.

Volunteers

We currently require volunteers with the following skills:

Local organisers
Translators
Legal people with a speciality/experience in International Human Rights Law.
Media personnel

Remember, Amnesty International is a membership-led organisation. The membership decides policy, and no-one else. As a member, you can change Amnesty policy - all you need to do is make it happen!
